Welcome to episode 99 of The Podunk Polymath Podcast. This week I speak to Ashley Hall about her experience as a social worker, as well as the different types and challenges a member of the profession faces.
We then talk about autism. We talk about what autism is; symptoms; causes; as well as controversies and misconceptions surrounding this condition. We also talk about Ashley’s personal experiences with her autism; how it affects her life; and the unique challenges autism present. I learned quite a bit, and this episode runs longer than usual because this is a subject I’m really fascinated with.
A note about the audio : I forgot to change the setting on the app I use to record these conversations, and thus once again I have ‘Barry White Voice’. There were also some connection problems, but I think I managed to edit most of those issues out. It’s still a great interview, I think, and I hope you agree.
