TPPP Episode 113 : Of Humanism and Poetry

This week on the Triple Po, Chris goes solo again as Lyman’s finger was about to fall off and so he went to urgent care. Personally I just think he’s dodging because he’s intimidated by my beard. That’s just my theory, though.

This week I have on author and activist Krista Cox. I initially became aware of Krista when I saw her on my friend Zach’s show, Zachrilege Cast. I loved the interview, and so I thought I would ask her to come on my show. Thankfully, she agreed!

We talk about her work with Feminist Humanist Alliance, an organization that “strives to build healthy communities that confront discrimination and oppression guided by the principles of intersectional feminism. We are determined to engage inequality through compassion, education, and promoting social liberation”. We also discussed a grant program the FHA is offering grants for going to going to the World Humanist Congress in 2020, as well as a grant for ‘Art for Action’ which facilitates making signs for demonstrations, protests, and rallies.

We also talked about the article she wrote about David Silverman regarding the allegations brought against him, and the problem with powerful men in the atheist community. We talk about the status of women in the movement and their level of acceptance in the, and also the level of diversity and how representation is important.

Also, we talk about the toxic male YouTube community, as well as men behaving badly on the internet. Oh, Krista does like her some dick pics, as long as they are sent consensually!

This is was an informative and also really enjoyable conversation. Krista is a great person, and she is incredibly funny. And she even read a poem of hers about fish and men (did I mention she is also a poet)? I think y’all will enjoy the conversation.

TPPP Episode 65 : Soup for the Soulless

Welcome to another thrilling episode of The Triple Po! On the pre-ramble I talk about my Christmas and the exciting things I did, which consisted mostly I’d eating, sitting, and sleeping.

On the palaver this week, I speak to Amy and Ami, hosts of the brand-spanking new podcast Secular Soup. We talk about their show, the situation with a certain podcaster and his issues with serial sexual harassment, their hatred of men, their rabid strain of feminism, and many other feminazi topics. These two have great chemistry, but it is difficult to get a word in edgewise, though that’s probably because I’m a man. I hope y’all enjoy it!

TPPP Episode 2 : Promoting Whiskey Indigestion

This week on The Triple-Po, I first give a shout out, and then talk about a Facebook post about the now infamous Ellen and Bolt pic, as well as a certain douchepickle insulting friends of mine on Facebook for no apparent reason.

For the palaver, I had the honor of speaking with they dynamic duo that is Demanda Wright and Ms. Bea Haven, the badasses from Promoting Secular Feminism. We had a wide ranging discussion, from lube to meat pockets. Mostly, however, it was Demanda Wright and her storied feminist digressions that stole the show. Tune in to learn about osmoality! It’s cooler than it sounds!
